Overgrowth

My first album, Overgrowth, was released in September of 2023 and is a collection of music created throughout the year. Most songs are named after native flora or fauna, and I worked for a balance of feelings across the songs. Some dark, some uplifting. I was inspired for the art from Jeff VanderMeer’s Southern Reach series of books, which I strongly encourage if you like weird fiction.

Although I have worked with music for some time and collaborated with folks in the past, I was motivated to make and finish music of my own that met my own standards in creating these works. Many of the songs are what I would call “old style IDM,” not the very glitchy or technically complicated style that arose in the late ’00s and into the ’10s. This style choice is based on my own preferences, and if you like melodic, semi-ambient electronic music, you may like it too.

This album is available on all streaming services, including Spotify, YouTube Music, Tidal, Apple Music, and more, and is also available for purchase and listening on Bandcamp. Currently there is no merch for this release and it is not available in physical form.
